ECEN 3213 Spring 2001 Extra Project report

This Project is Extra - it will NOT be graded if you are more than three (3) points from a letter grade break point. It is to be turned in with the final exam. No late Extra Projects accepted. Because this is extra work, you must develop it on your own. The research and searching can use anything except the TAs, other Professors, or the Instructor. The WWW, Library, electronics stores, and fellow students can be used as guides.

Special Project requirements:
Short text description comparison of Motorola 68hc11a8 and Intel 83C51RA.
A parts list to show what is needed for this class to use the 83C51RA.
A table comparing the features of the two processors, including cost, speed, size of ROM, Size of RAM, number of I/O ports, types of interrupts, and any other distinct features..
Reference pointer to a simulator for the 83C51RA.
A description of the differences in instruction sets.
A complete listing of all of the reference material used for this special Project.
